Paramount Pictures
Paramount Pictures was founded on May 8, 1912, by Adolph Zukor, who later put 24 actors and actresses under contract in 1916. These early employees were honored with stars on the logo, a tradition that continued until the number of stars was reduced to 22 in 1967. Today, the company distributes all its films digitally after becoming the first major Hollywood studio to make this shift in 2014. Paramount Pictures' headquarters and studios are located at 5555 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, California. The studio has produced numerous iconic films, including The Greatest Show on Earth, The Ten Commandments, Love Story, The Godfather, Grease, Ghost, Forrest Gump, Titanic, and Saving Private Ryan, with four of these films earning Academy Awards for Best Picture.
