Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

1994

In Miami, eccentric private detective Ace Ventura specializes in rescuing animals, often mocking the local authorities in the process. The Miami Dolphins' mascot, Snowflake the dolphin, is stolen, and Ventura is hired by publicist Melissa Robinson to track down the culprit before the Super Bowl. Ventura's investigation leads him to suspect millionaire collector Ronald Camp, but ultimately, he targets a former Dolphins player, Ray Finkle, who blames quarterback Dan Marino for a past game-winning failure and has a history of violent outbursts. As the case unfolds, Ventura uncovers Finkle's plan to kidnap Marino and frame Ventura, and the two engage in a tense confrontation on the day of the Super Bowl, eventually leading to Finkle's arrest and Marino's safe return. With the crisis averted, Ventura becomes a hero and continues his unorthodox detective work.
