In a small café on Oahu, Hawaii, Dr. Henry Roth, a charming marine veterinarian, meets Lucy Whitmore, a beautiful art teacher, and falls deeply in love with her. Unbeknownst to Henry, Lucy suffers from a rare form of anterograde amnesia, causing her to forget everything from the previous day. Each morning, she wakes up thinking it's Sunday, October 13, the day of a tragic car accident that left her with this condition. Henry resolves to win her over again each new day, using creative schemes to reconnect with her, even though she has no recollection of their past interactions. Through their daily encounters, Henry and Lucy develop a strong bond, and eventually, she begins to regain her memories, allowing them to build a life together.
