Pomaika'i Brown
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Wilfred Ku'ualoha Brown and Amy Kaelehiwa Keko'olani, Pomai Brown developed his musical talents at a young age, playing the ukulele with Ka Hale Hula O Keko'olani at 12. He furthered his education at The Kamehameha Schools at Kapalama, graduating with a business degree in entrepreneurial studies from Hawaii Pacific College. Following this, he studied various performing arts techniques, including Hawaiian Steel Guitar with Jerry Byrd, acting energy with Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and improvisation with Roger Wilko. This diverse range of experiences eventually led to his breakthrough role as Nick, the chef, in the 2004 film 50 First Dates, facilitated by comedian Adam Sandler and director Peter Segal.
