Happy Madison Productions
Adam Sandler founded Happy Madison Productions, Inc. in 1999, which initially focused on comedy films. The company's name was inspired by his films Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, produced by Robert Simonds, and written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. The Waterboy and The Wedding Singer, both starring Sandler, helped launch his career and the company's success, earning over $160 million in the US. Initially based in the Judy Garland Building on the Sony Pictures Studios lot, the company later relocated to Manchester, New Hampshire, under the leadership of Adam Sandler's brother Scott. The company expanded into television in 2002 with a pilot commitment, and briefly explored other genres through subsidiaries like Madison 23 Productions and Scary Madison Productions.
