Touchstone Pictures
Ron W. Miller established Touchstone Films as a film production division of Walt Disney Studios in 1984, operating as an active unit until the early 2010s. During this period, Touchstone primarily handled PG-13 and R-rated films, distinguishing it from Walt Disney Pictures, which focused on more family-friendly content. Under the leadership of Disney, Touchstone released a significant number of films, including several notable titles. A distribution deal with DreamWorks Pictures was announced in 2009, leading to the release of DreamWorks films under the Touchstone label from 2011 to 2016. After the final DreamWorks film, The Light Between Oceans, was released in 2016, the Touchstone label ceased operations.
