Rysher Entertainment

Rysher Entertainment was founded as an American film and television production company and distributor in 1991. The company was later acquired by Cox Enterprises and subsequently closed down in 1999. Following the closure, Viacom obtained distribution rights to the Rysher library through an agreement with Cox Enterprises. This agreement led to Viacom's successor, Paramount Skydance, acquiring the rights to the Rysher library, with the distribution rights now held by Paramount Pictures and CBS Media Ventures. The ownership of Rysher Entertainment's assets underwent several changes throughout the 2000s before being acquired by Vine Alternative Investments in 2011.
