Miramax
Miramax was founded by brothers Harvey and Bob Weinstein in California, based in Los Angeles. Initially a leading producer and distributor of independent films, the company was acquired by the Walt Disney Company in 1993. After being sold to Filmyard Holdings in 2010, Miramax changed hands again in 2016 when it was purchased by beIN Media Group. Later, on April 3, 2020, a significant portion of the company's ownership was transferred to ViacomCBS, now rebranded as Paramount Skydance, in a deal that marked another shift in Miramax's corporate landscape.
