Arrested Development

2003 · TV-MA

The Bluth family, once a wealthy and influential clan, finds themselves at rock bottom after a series of financial and personal scandals. George Bluth Sr., the patriarch, has gone to prison, leaving his children to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. Michael Bluth, the eldest son, takes it upon himself to manage the family's affairs and keep them from complete financial ruin. As the series progresses, the Bluths' dysfunctionality and petty squabbles are revealed through a non-linear narrative structure, incorporating archival photos and voice-over narration. With each episode, the family's flaws and absurdities are exposed, often resulting in humorous misadventures and unexpected consequences. Through this complex web of relationships and power struggles, the show explores themes of family loyalty, redemption, and the blurred lines between right and wrong.
