Sherry Stringfield

Sherry Stringfield began her acting career with roles on television dramas, including NYPD Blue and Guiding Light. Her breakthrough came when she joined the cast of ER as Dr. Susan Lewis, a role for which she received three Emmy Award nominations. Initially, Stringfield was part of the show's original cast, but she left after its third season, despite a contractual obligation to remain for five more episodes. She returned to the series in 2001 and then departed once again in 2005. In addition to her television work, Stringfield has appeared in several films.
