Rick Ducommun
Ducommun began his career as a stand-up comedian in his teens, growing up on a farm in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. In the early 1980s, he moved to Vancouver and hosted the children's television show Zig Zag. His film career started in the mid-1980s with small roles in films like No Small Affair and A Fine Mess. Ducommun gained recognition with his breakthrough role as Art Weingartner in Joe Dante's The 'Burbs and later starred in Little Monsters. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he appeared in notable films such as Spaceballs, Die Hard, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and The Hunt for Red October. His career slowed down in the 2000s, but he continued working in film and television until his death in Vancouver due to complications from diabetes.
