Lana Wachowski

The Wachowski sisters began their careers in the entertainment industry after being trained at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. They gained recognition as a writing and directing duo with their 1996 film Bound, followed by the groundbreaking science fiction epic The Matrix in 1999, which earned them the Saturn Award for Best Director. The sisters continued to collaborate on subsequent films within the Matrix franchise, including The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions in 2003, before expanding their scope with adaptations like the live-action Speed Racer and the critically acclaimed Cloud Atlas. Their subsequent projects include the Netflix series Sense8, which they co-created, and individual works such as Lilly's episodes of Showtime's Work in Progress and Lana's contribution to The Matrix Resurrections.
