John McConnell

As a character actor, John McConnell has appeared in over 40 films, including major releases like O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Django Unchained, 12 Years a Slave, and Interview with the Vampire. He has also performed in numerous plays, such as an off-Broadway production of The Kingfish, where he portrayed Louisiana Governor Huey P. Long. McConnell gained recognition for portraying Ignatius J. Reilly from Thomas Pynchon's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Confederacy of Dunces. His television career includes recurring roles in shows like Underground, Hap & Leonard, and The Riches, as well as appearances on Roseanne and Treme. McConnell hosted a daily call-in talk show, "The Spud Show", on WWL 870 AM and 105.3 FM for 11 years, and later took over a morning drive show on KKND, initially featuring music in a classic hits format.
