David E. Kelley

Kelley began his career as an attorney before transitioning into writing and producing television. As an attorney, he gained experience in trial law, which would later influence his storytelling style. His breakthrough came when he created the popular television series Doogie Howser, M.D., which aired on ABC. This success led to Kelley working on other notable shows such as Picket Fences and Chicago Hope, also on ABC. His versatility earned him opportunities at other major networks, including CBS, Fox, and NBC, as well as cable network HBO, where he continued to produce successful series like Ally McBeal and Big Little Lies.
