Daniel Richter
Daniel Richter began his career as a mime, leading a troupe in London, where he gained recognition for his unique approach to the art form. For the 2001 film adaptation of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Richter was cast as the leader of a tribe of ape-men, a role that showcased his ability to bring a new level of realism to the character. Richter worked closely with director Stanley Kubrick, who valued his skills in choreographing the "Dawn of Man" sequence, drawing inspiration from observations of real-life apes, including Guy the Gorilla at the London zoo. This experience not only informed his acting but also led to a lifelong interest in exploring the natural world.
