Baltasar Kormákur
Born on February 27th, he began his career as a theatre and film director, eventually transitioning into acting. His breakthrough came when he directed the 2000 film 101 Reykjavík, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He went on to direct several other films, including The Sea and A Little Trip to Heaven, before making the transition to television with the series Katla. In addition to directing, he has also acted in various films, such as Contraband and Touch, showcasing his versatility as both a filmmaker and performer.
