Æon Flux

1991 · 30 min · TV-14

In a surreal, dystopian world where a barren earth-like landscape separates two city-states, Monica and Bregna, a scantily clad secret agent known as Æon Flux infiltrates the stronghold of her sworn enemy, the technocratic dictator Trevor Goodchild. As a skilled assassin and acrobat from the anarchic nation of Monica, Æon seeks to sabotage installations in Bregna, while Trevor pursues her with both hostility and desire. Their contrasting societies - Monica representing absolute freedom and individualism, and Bregna embodying oppression and surveillance - fuel their endless and futile war for ideological supremacy. Throughout their tumultuous relationship, Æon struggles with the consequences of her actions and the forbidden love she shares with Trevor, whose true desires lie beyond his oppressive regime.
