In the remote Alaskan town of Barrow, a month-long polar night sets in, bringing with it a sense of isolation and vulnerability. As the inhabitants prepare for the prolonged darkness, a mysterious stranger arrives in town, evading detection and wreaking havoc on the community's infrastructure. Sheriff Eben Oleson and his deputy Billy Kitka soon discover that their town is under siege by a band of vampires, who emerge from a hidden icebreaker ship and begin a brutal assault on the residents. As the body count rises, Eben and his estranged wife Stella must fight to protect themselves and their fellow survivors, navigating the treacherous landscape of their own town and confronting the supernatural threat that threatens to consume them all.
