MTV Films

MTV Entertainment Studios was formed as a consolidation of various subsidiaries, including MTV Productions, which was founded in 1991, and the MTV Production Development/MTV Studios group established in 2003. This entity primarily produced content for adolescent and adult audiences, releasing original productions on the MTV channel and its siblings, as well as theatrical films through Paramount Pictures. The studio underwent several name changes, becoming MTV Studios in 2018 before being rebranded again in 2021. In 2023, MTV Entertainment Studios merged with Showtime's internal production businesses, resulting in the current name, while in 2025, the studio was consolidated into a new entity, Paramount Television Studios.
