Lakeshore Entertainment

Sigurjón Sighvatsson co-founded Lakeshore Entertainment in 1994 alongside Tom Rosenberg and Ted Tannebaum, who sold a stake in Beacon Communications to fund the venture. Initially, Sighvatsson served as the company's first president before being replaced by producer Gary Lucchesi in 1998. Under his leadership, Lakeshore produced numerous films, including the Academy Award-winning Million Dollar Baby. The company expanded into television with the launch of its division in 2013 and further diversified into music with a record label, Lakeshore Records. Following a series of restructuring efforts, Lakeshore ultimately sold its film library, including the New World Pictures collection, to Vine Alternative Investments for approximately $200 million in 2019.
