Hawk Films

Stanley Kubrick founded Hawk Films to produce his 1964 film Dr. Strangelove, using it as a production company for subsequent films including A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, and Full Metal Jacket. Two subsidiaries, Peregrine Productions and Harrier Films, were established, with Peregrine involved in Barry Lyndon and The Shining, and Harrier working on Full Metal Jacket alongside Stanley Kubrick Productions. This subsidiary, also known as Stanley Kubrick Productions, produced 2001: A Space Odyssey and served as the primary production company for Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut, as well as Steven Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
