Todd Phillips

Born as Todd Philip Bunzl, Todd Phillips began his career in filmmaking in 1993, initially directing films like Road Trip, Old School, and Starsky & Hutch in the 2000s. His breakthrough came in the early 2010s with the successful film series The Hangover. This led to his critically acclaimed direction of the psychological thriller Joker, which premiered at the 76th Venice International Film Festival and won the top prize, the Golden Lion. The film earned Phillips three Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay, marking a significant milestone in his career.
