Red Hot Chili Peppers

Flea, Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante formed the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Los Angeles, initially consisting of Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak, and Jack Irons. The band's early lineup changed with Slovak and Irons contributing to their debut album, while Slovak rejoined and Irons left following his death from a drug overdose in 1988. With Frusciante and Smith joining, the band released successful albums such as Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but Frusciante's departure due to discomfort with fame led to a series of temporary replacements before his eventual return in 1998.
