Michael Fassbender

Fassbender studied at the Drama Centre London before making his feature film debut in the 2006 film 300. He gained early recognition for his roles in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers and the Sky One fantasy drama Hex. His breakthrough role came as Bobby Sands in the 2008 drama Hunger, followed by notable performances in Fish Tank, Inglourious Basterds, Jane Eyre, and A Dangerous Method. Fassbender also played key characters in the X-Men series, including Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, and received critical acclaim for his portrayal of a sex addict in Steve McQueen's drama Shame, earning him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor. This led to further nominations for his performances in 12 Years a Slave and Steve Jobs.
