Margaret Whitton

Margaret Whitton began her career on stage, making her debut in 1973 as Peggy Whitton. She transitioned to film in the early 1980s, adopting the name Margaret Whitton, and made her Broadway debut in 1982's Steaming. Her breakthrough film role came in 1987 when she played the part of Michael J. Fox's aunt in The Secret of My Success. Whitton continued to appear in several notable films throughout her career, including Major League and its sequel, before eventually returning to the stage, starring in the original musical Marlene alongside Siân Phillips in 1999.
