Lucy Gutteridge
Born in London, Lucy Gutteridge is the eldest daughter of Bernard Hugh Gutteridge, who married Nabila Farah Karima Halim, the daughter of Prince Muhammad Said Bey Halim of Egypt and his British second wife, Nabila Malika. Gutteridge is a great-great-great-granddaughter of Muhammad Ali of Egypt, a Muslim subject of the Ottoman Empire likely of Albanian ethnicity, who became the father of modern Egypt. This ancestry makes her a distant cousin of Egypt's last king, Farouk. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt in the 1982 television miniseries Little Gloria... Happy at Last, earning a Golden Globe nomination in the process.
