James Gandolfini

Gandolfini trained as a student at Rutgers University before entering the world of acting, making his screen debut in the 1993 film True Romance. His breakout role came when he portrayed Tony Soprano, a complex Italian-American crime boss, in HBO's critically acclaimed television series The Sopranos, earning widespread acclaim and numerous awards. In addition to his television work, Gandolfini appeared in various films, such as Crimson Tide, The Last Castle, and The Taking of Pelham 123. He also ventured into producing, working on documentaries like Alive Day Memories: Home from Iraq and Wartorn: 1861–2010, for which he received critical recognition. Gandolfini's final film appearance was in Enough Said, released just months before his death.
