Ian La Frenais

La Frenais began his career as a screenwriter, collaborating closely with Dick Clement on numerous projects. Their writing partnership led to several notable television series, including The Likely Lads and its spin-off Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?. This duo also created the prison drama Porridge and its follow-up film Going Straight, as well as the detective series Lovejoy. Additionally, they worked together on the comedy film Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
