Holly Hunter
She began her acting career performing in school plays, including Oklahoma! and Fiddler on the Roof, before attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in drama. She then moved to New York City with Frances McDormand, starting a Broadway career. Her breakthrough came with roles in the 1981 film The Burning and Raising Arizona, followed by her critically acclaimed performance in The Piano, earning her the Academy Award for Best Actress. This led to further recognition with Oscar nominations for The Firm and Thirteen, as well as wins at the AACTA Awards, the Silver Bear, and the Golden Globe.
