Doug Jones
As a child, Doug Jones trained as a contortionist before transitioning into acting. He began his career on stage, performing as a mime and later moved to film, making his debut in the 1993 comedy-horror Hocus Pocus. Jones gained recognition for his roles in Guillermo del Toro's films, including the amphibious creature in The Shape of Water and the faun in Pan's Labyrinth. In addition to his collaborations with del Toro, he has appeared in a range of other films such as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and The Bye Bye Man. His longest-running television role was as Saru in the sci-fi series Star Trek: Discovery.
