Destin Daniel Cretton
Born on November 23, 1978, Destin Daniel Cretton began his career in filmmaking by working as a screenwriter and director. He made his feature film debut with Short Term 12, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2013. The film's success led to Cretton directing The Glass Castle, an adaptation of Jeannette Walls' memoir about her unconventional childhood, released in 2017. In 2019, he directed Just Mercy, based on the true story of Bryan Stevenson's work as a lawyer advocating for justice.
