Dennis Hopper

Dennis Hopper's interest in acting led him to study at the Actors' Studio, where he began his career. His early appearances included roles in television shows and films with notable actors such as James Dean, including Rebel Without a Cause and Giant. In the late 1960s, Hopper transitioned to directing and starring in films like Easy Rider, which earned him an award at the Cannes Film Festival and an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. After struggling to replicate his earlier success, Hopper gained renewed recognition for his performances in Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet, and Hoosiers. He continued to work in film and television throughout his career, including a leading role in the TV series Crash, before filming his final performance just before his death.
