Stasey began taking an interest in acting at around six years old, and went on to land a notable role in The Sleepover Club as Francesca Thomas, a character that gained popularity across multiple countries including Australia, the UK, and the US on Nickelodeon TV. She later took on the role of Rachel Kinski in Neighbours, and portrayed Ellie Linton in the film adaptation of John Marsden's novel 'Tomorrow When the War Began'. This critically acclaimed performance earned her an IF Award for Best Actress in 2010, one of Australia's most prestigious film awards. Additionally, Stasey showcased her vocal talents as a member of the Australian Girls Choir, featuring in a Qantas commercial for the song "I Still Call Australia Home".
