Billy Boyd
Born in Scotland, Billy Boyd began his acting career as a child, landing his first role in the television series Grange Hill. He later trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His breakthrough came when he was cast as Peregrin "Pippin" Took in the film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In addition to this notable part, Boyd also portrayed the character of Barret Bonden in Peter Weir's film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
