Alanis Morissette

Morissette's music career started in Canada in the early 1990s with two dance-pop albums, before moving to Los Angeles under a recording deal. Her breakthrough came with the release of Jagged Little Pill, a more rock-oriented album that sold over 33 million copies globally and has been her most critically acclaimed work to date. The album featured hits like You Oughta Know and Hand in My Pocket, showcasing her emotive mezzo-soprano voice and songwriting skills. This marked a significant shift from her earlier pop sound to a more mature and introspective style.
