Akela Cooper

Co-founder of the M3GAN franchise, James Wan partnered with Akela Cooper to create this series. Cooper began her career as a screenwriter, penning the horror films Hell Fest, which tells the story of a haunted house attraction, and The Nun II, a sequel to the 2018 film The Nun. Her breakthrough came when she was included in Variety's list of 10 emerging screenwriters to watch in 2021, further solidifying her presence in the industry. Cooper has since established herself as a prominent voice in the horror genre with her work on these films.
