Adam Rehmeier
Adam Rehmeier grew up in Nebraska City, Nebraska, as the son of District Judge Randall Rehmeier. He spent his teenage years working at a snack shack at Steinhart Park Pool in the Missouri River community, an experience that influenced his writing for the film Snack Shack. Rehmeier studied film at Columbia College in Chicago, concentrating on cinematography. Before becoming a filmmaker, he worked as a documentary camera operator, capturing footage for low-budget feature films and documenting the touring jam band Phish. This early experience likely shaped his approach to storytelling and visual style.
