As the Berlin Wall teeters on the brink of collapse in November 1989, KGB agent Yuri Bakhtin orchestrates the murder of MI6 agent James Gascoigne, stealing a crucial microfilm containing a list of intelligence agents active in the city. Sent to retrieve the list, top-level MI6 spy Lorraine Broughton must navigate the treacherous landscape of East Germany, where she encounters a web of double agents and suspected moles. Her search leads her to her contact, David Percival, a former colleague whose true loyalties remain unclear. Alongside novice French agent Delphine Lasalle, Lorraine weaves a complex game of cat and mouse with the KGB, as Percival's actions raise suspicions and Lorraine uncovers a shocking twist that challenges everything she thought she knew about her mission.
