Sony Interactive Entertainment
Sony Interactive Entertainment was formed by the joint establishment of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Sony Network Entertainment International, two companies created by Sony Group Corporation. The newly formed entity was headquartered in the United States and was tasked with overseeing the development and distribution of the PlayStation brand, including its various consoles and products. This move came after a corporate split in 2010, during which time SNEI continued to provide gaming-related services while SCE focused on console production. As part of this reorganization, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment collaborated to create a unified entity capable of managing both hardware and software aspects of the business.
