Silver Screen Partners IV
Roland W. Betts, an American investor, collaborated with HBO in 1983 to establish limited partnerships as an alternative funding source for film production, with Silver Screen Management, Inc. serving as the managing general partner. These partnerships later entered into agreements with major studios, including Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, and Hollywood Pictures, starting in 1985. They produced numerous successful films, such as The Great Mouse Detective, Dead Poets Society, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Pretty Woman, before becoming defunct in 1992. Notably, former US President George W. Bush served on the board of directors of Silver Screen Management, Inc. during this time.
