Polyphony Digital
Polyphony Digital Inc., originally a development group within Sony Computer Entertainment's Japan Studio, began as Polys Entertainment following the success of Gran Turismo in Japan, leading to greater autonomy. They were then reestablished as an independent company and renamed themselves Polyphony Digital. With this new structure, they expanded into multiple studios across different countries, including two in Japan, one in the Netherlands, and another in the United States. This change enabled the company to diversify its operations and potentially tap into various markets.
