New Line Cinema

New Line Cinema was founded by Robert Shaye in New York City on June 18, 1967. Initially operating independently, the studio was acquired by Turner Broadcasting System in 1994, leading to its transition into a film studio. This change occurred shortly before a merger with Time Warner Entertainment in 1996. As a result of this integration, New Line Cinema merged with Warner Bros. Pictures in 2008, when it also became a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. The studio now operates out of offices at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.
