MRC

Modi Wiczyk and Asif Satchu founded MRC II Distribution Company, L.P., doing business as MRC, based in West Hollywood, California. The company developed, financed, and produced films and television shows in partnership with leading creative artists. In 1999, Wiczyk and Satchu wrote a business plan, called Another New Ballgame, while attending Harvard Business School, which gained notoriety in Hollywood and predicted the decline of traditional studios in favor of internet-based distribution and independent studios. MRC established a deeply-integrated partnership with Endeavor Talent Agency, a model for future alliances between agencies and studios, and produced the YouTube web series Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, which became the platform's second-most-subscribed-to sponsor channel. This partnership positioned MRC as a pioneer in merging storytelling with tech-driven distribution.
