Lightstorm Entertainment

James Cameron co-founded Tech Noir Productions with Gale Anne Hurd, producing The Abyss in 1989 before founding Lightstorm Entertainment with Lawrence Kasanoff. At Lightstorm, Cameron directed several notable films, including Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Titanic, and Avatar, which formed part of the company's diverse output. Cameron also employed other directors to helm films under the Lightstorm banner. A first look deal was established with 20th Century Fox in 1995, leading to the distribution of most films through this partnership.
