Hollywood Pictures
Hollywood Pictures Company was established by Disney CEO Michael Eisner and studio chief Jeffrey Katzenberg to increase the film output of the Walt Disney Studios. The label focused on releasing films targeting adult audiences with more mature themes, distinct from the family-oriented productions of Walt Disney Pictures. As a result, these films featured more complex storylines and were aimed at older viewers. One of the label's most commercially successful films was M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, which grossed over $670 million worldwide upon its release. This success marked a notable achievement for the label, but ultimately failed to sustain it as a separate entity within the Walt Disney Studios.
