Bandai Namco Entertainment
Namco's home and arcade video game business was succeeded by Bandai Namco Entertainment after it merged with Bandai's former equivalent division in 2006. Development operations were later spun off into a separate company, which was rebranded as Bandai Namco Studios in 2012. As part of this transition, development operations shifted away from the parent company, but Bandai Namco Entertainment retained ownership of various popular video game franchises, including Pac-Man, Tekken, and Soulcalibur. These brands continue to drive the company's success, alongside other notable titles like Dark Souls and Little Nightmares, with Pac-Man serving as the official mascot. The company also holds licenses to numerous Japanese media franchises, including Shonen Jump and Gundam.
